The artwork was really about our journey to and from Westcourt (SJC’s Year 9 Campus). The school sees Westcourt as a journey for us boys. Transforming from boys into young men and I guess that’s what the butterflies represent. Caterpillars go through their own journey and eventually emerge as butterflies. This is what the artwork represents - our own personal journey from boys to men. Westcourt was our cocoon. Westcourt is every boy’s cocoon. We change always but this year has got to be the most important change of my life
