My artwork represents the everyday struggles that are experienced by people. Each design has a deeper meaning relating to the hiding and coping mechanisms developed by individuals when a period of hardship is encountered.

I have my own interpretation for each component, yet due to the broad range of elements, it allows the viewer to independently draw meaning as the perception of each differs from person to person. All shapes are intertwined and connected with each other to employ the notion that, no matter the size of an issue, everything adds up in the end.

From afar, the larger scale blurs the shapes due to the intimate nature of the lines. The intent of this was to make the viewer get close and see each figure singularly. This correlates to the idea that even if something is right in front of you, you may not see things as clearly, or that, ‘the truth is invisible to the eyes’.
