The story behind my picture was that a man was doubted, was disregarded, but he persisted, worked hard and now he is one of the best NBA players we have today. The medium I used was scratch board with carving tools in order to get the texture, and patterns. I am very proud of this artwork as this is one of the best artworks I have ever done. I was feeling very strongly about this artwork while creating, as I wanted to convey strong story, a hard worker who never gives up until he succeeds. I felt confident throughout that I would be able to portray what I had in mind through my artwork and I felt I was able to do so.
