Bird of Swirl

Nicolas, Year 5

St Joseph's Primary School, Mernda

Students were inspired by the current climate change discussion happening in our world today. We used the 'ClimArte 2019 Exhibition' as a model of using the arts to convey an important social message. Students designed, made and responded to artworks based on line drawing. They then used half of a photograph of an Australian Endangered Species to apply line work such as rippling, drooping, spindly, tangled, tumultuous, rhythmic, swirling, interwoven, wriggly, dented, jagged, exploding, repeated parallel lines to represent the symmetry of their chosen animal.
