This art work was inspired by Sidney Nolan's painting Kenneth and the actual photos of the Anzac soldiers and nurses. The students painted a grey watercolour wash for the background, then after selecting a photograph, used pastel and watercolour to draw the portrait on newspaper. Once dry they cut the portrait out and pasted it onto their background.
