When I first chose the image, what stood out on this one was how the light touches her face. When I drew the shadow on her face I really appreciated how the form of it was like drawing water; the way it flowed down her cheek in a natural manner. . It was very important for me to get all her physical aspects correct, as the grey lead drawing did not have any sort of colours, therefore the only way I could convey her true artistic aspects was by perfectly creating the textures of this portrait to make it as realistic as possible. Keira Knightly is an astounding actor and a beautiful person, among her life she has demonstrated her amazing successes; and I wish for one of my own achievements to be a portrait of her.
