Surrealism defies logic, it’s the workings of the subconscious mind which inspires surrealistic art that is filled with strange images and bizarre juxtapositions. In “ Light Bulbs” I have toyed with the idea of exploring how nature can have good and evil in the form of light. The stealthily serpent with its tail like that of a trees roots, wraps itself around the globe trying to fool the globe that it has the same intentions that the tree has in giving light to the globe. It’s hoping to crack the globe and poison it with darkness. While the dangling serpents have over taken the globe and hang lifeless. The tall tree trucks are natures way of giving life to all things and the rich, life-like sunset and daylight background give more power to the artwork, showing that light even within nature will overpower evil.
