The Year 3 students discussed the work of Polish/American, Barbara Kobylinska, who produces amazingly creative sculptures by upcycling objects. Students discussed sustainability and the importance of recycling and caring for our environment. Many students brought from home, milk bottles or other containers to help with the project. Students experimented with three-dimensional objects to create a bird sculpture using form, shape, colour and texture (patterns). They responded to the different material surfaces of the papier-mâché technique.
