Samrin, along with other students in grade 5, studied Howard Arkley and his suburban paintings. Students explored the vivid colour in Arkley's works and appropriated their own unique artworks. Samrin learnt and practised rules of perspective before using water colours to paint her artwork, and then outlined it, paying attending to line, shape, and pattern.
