This is a portrayal of how people are so engrossed in on-line platforms and media that they forget to live in the present moment. Thus meaning, missing the world around them and only living in the virtual realms. I explored the idea of ‘representation’ and how people in the world can be presented in a positive or a negative light. I attempted to appropriate this idea of people absorbed in a virtual life, opposed to their real life. My photography is of a man absorbed in his phone and showing only interest in the ‘likes’ he receives in his virtual world.
