This work portrays some of my friends with disabilities. I have a close affinity with them because I too spend my life in a wheelchair as I have cerebral palsy. I wanted to portray my friends as people with real emotions and passions. As people with real ability not just disability. I was hoping to defeat the stigma of people with disabilities as being “useless” but people who deserve respect. I also wanted to challenge people’s perceptions of beauty.
