12 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
6 ounces golden raisins
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
Place sliced apples and raisins in 14-inch bread pan.
Add cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar. Stir.
TOPPING
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter
Cut flour and sugars into butter with pastry cutter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Sprinkle over top of apples.
Bake in 16-inch Dutch oven or large Pyrex baking dish for 40 to 45 minutes.
