Ingredients:
• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tablespoon paprika
• 2 teaspoons garlic powder
• 2 teaspoons onion powder
• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Honey Glaze:
• 1/2 cup honey
• 1 tablespoon hot sauce
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 teaspoon grated ginger
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions:
1. Marinate Chicken: Place chicken breasts in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
2. Prepare Flour Mixture: In another bowl, combine all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
3. Heat Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
4. Dredge Chicken: Remove chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
5. Fry Chicken: Carefully place the coated chicken breasts in the hot oil and fry for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
6. Prepare Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens.
7. Glaze Chicken: Once the chicken is cooked, brush each piece generously with the honey glaze.
8. Serve: Serve the Honey Glaze Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken hot, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
