1 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs
3 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Mix well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add gradually to creamed mixture. Beat well after each addition of the flour mixture. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of batter. Pour the rest of batter into a greased and flc1..!rcd 12 x 16 inch pan. Spread cherry pie filling on batter, drop the 1 1/2 cups of batter evenly over cherries by teaspoons.
Bake in 350° oven 30 minutes or until done. While still warm, make a thin icing with 1/3 cup powdered sugar and drizzle
over the top. When cool, cut into bars.
