Counseling
It is with great sadness that we share this from the weekend:
It has been a very difficult week for our TBJH family, as they mourn the loss of our beloved teacher, colleague, and friend. Our hearts are heavy as we process this tremendous loss together. During times like these we are reminded of the strength of our school community and the importance of supporting one another. Nycki Cuddie's kindness, positivity, and deep love for her students and colleagues has left a lasting impression on so many. Her memory will continue to live on throughout our halls and classrooms through the lives that she has touched.
Counseling Resources Available
We want to ensure everyone has the support they need during this difficult time. If your student is struggling with this loss, needs a safe space to process their grief, or simply requires a quiet moment to gather themselves, our Counseling Center is open and ready to help.
For Students: The Counseling Center and our counseling staff are fully available.
Checking In: If a student needs to visit the Counseling Center during the school day, they should please communicate with Mrs. Ayers so we can ensure they are properly supported and accounted for.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if your family needs additional support. We will get through this together.
Final Transcript Requests
Final transcripts will be available by the first week of July. When putting a request in Parchment for transcripts to be sent, please select Hold for Grades. If you have not yet created a Parchment account, it is important that you do so. Most colleges require Parchment to receive transcripts.

Select the Learners/Parents icon.
Enter your legal name, date of birth, and enrollment information.
Provide a personal email address (do not use a school email that will expire after you graduate).

This is an awesome opportunity see Mrs. Taratuta for scholarships to this camp. It includes transportation. Summer is a great time to experience this campus and the Houghton area.

OK2SAY is the student safety program which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.
Student Climate Team will be trained to conduct peer mediation for students who are in conflict with one another. The goal of having peer mediation at AHS is to help create a more positive culture in our school where both sides win and one party doesn't feel as if they are being treated unfairly. Please see Mr. Robarge in Restorative Center (School Success) if you need help resolving an issue. Peer mediators don't take sides or place blame on anyone!
