Critical Thinker: Analytical- Able to perceive connections and divisions within a problem situation; Logical- Recognize and maintain a sense of coherence in problem-solving contexts; Problem Solver- Implement strategies to successfully and efficiently create solutions.
These three saw an issue during a school-wide assembly and became instant problem solvers. They held peers accountable and had the courage to stand up and share how they felt to help others realize the impact of their behavior. They are often leaders in our halls modeling what a Wildcat Way student at AHS looks like. Girls, thank you for the positive vibe that you bring to our school.
Dailen is an exceptionally hard-working student and role model for others both in class and beyond. He always strives to go the extra mile, putting his best foot forth in all he does. He shows incredible dedication to his learning and contributes to a culture of excellence daily! Persevering through challenges and rising to the occasion, he defines what it means to be a Wildcat. I am thankful for all Dalien does to brighten our classroom and school culture at AHS!
Know anyone that deserves a special message in our building? It could be a student, teacher, counselor, cook, custodian, SRO, admin, instructional assistant, office assistant.....ANYONE!
Use this link to send them a message that will be displayed on the TVs around AHS. The message is anonymous, but please include their name to help brighten their day and spread a little kindness.
Be sure to read them, you never know when your name might pop up!

Reminder to AHS Families
AHS is on a semester report card system and DOES NOT issue quarter grades and report cards like TBJH ~ Report cards will be available about one week after the end of the semester January 20th
Final Exams will be held on the last three days of the semester (Final Exam Schedule TBA), and teachers will review class expectations with all students
There is a final exam/project/culminating experience, etc. in every class at AHS
Parents had the opportunity to seek out teachers at conferences last week, and I hope the experience was worthwhile and meaningful
You are always welcome to email any staff member and/or set up an appointment if necessary
You can always follow up via ParentVue to see current grades
I hope the clarification helps with any confusion for parents that have students in both buildings
Veteran's Day Tribute Friday ~ November 11th
Friday, the Color Guard from the VFW will join AHS Excel Students in a flag rendering, taps, and the raising of the flag followed by a moment of silence at 7:45 am
Students will be allowed to gather at the flag pole after checking into 1st hour to recognize all of our Veterans that served to protect our wonderful nation

OK2SAY is the student safety program which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.
