EMPOWERING 21ST CENTURY GRADUATES
Congratulations on your selection Gloria Kroll, Mya Bellanger, Reaghan Fitzpatrick, and Sawyer Haugerud
Contributor: Citizenship- Recognize the importance of their role in our connected world; Involvement- Willing to actively engage to make a positive difference; Community Oriented- Able to balance self-interest with the needs of society.
I contacted one of these students to help and in 20 minutes, she rounded up a crew to take action on a Saturday. In thinking of the Wildcat Way, I can't think of a better honor to believe that these four ladies represent what AHS Culture is about, "Positive Action for the betterment of the entire school community." I am blown away at the selflessness of the majority of our students at AHS and being kind is what our current Student Climate Team is pushing to create as they are meeting regularly to develop a plan/mission to "Make a difference at AHS."
Painting "The Rock" Expectations
The Wildcat Way
All artwork and designs must be school appropriate and demonstrate AHS Wildcat Way.
Approval needs to go through the Main Office in advance.
All brushes, rollers, paint, etc. must be cleaned up or thrown away and all unused materials returned to the Main Office.
Paint and supplies are available-- please check with the Main Office for instructions.
Things to take into consideration:
The temperature must be above 45 degrees or the paint will not stick.
Who is your audience?
How big does it have to be for it to be seen?
Do the colors make it "Pop?"
Simply put...have fun and if you make a mess, please clean it up.
Counselor Corner: The end of the year is quickly approaching. It may not be too late to pass your class(es). Talk to your teachers about what you need to do, get some make up work completed, keep attending and trying. Even if you can't raise your grade to a passing level, you will at least be learning the information better for next year when you repeat the class.
Study hard for your final exams; that test/project may be the make it or break it point!
If you have failed any core classes that you have not made up yet, you should take a look at summer school. Summer school is free this year! Taking a summer school class, or 2, can help get you back on track to graduate on time! See the information below on how to access Summer Rebound.

OK2SAY is the student safety program which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.
