Counseling
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! Over the weekend, classes have continued to be balanced to ensure that students are put in the best scenario for learning. If you have an issue with your schedule you should send a class change request via this form: Class Change Form (Changes are only possible the first week of the semester.) If you are waiting for a class change, you must continue to attend the current class until/if the change is approved. If you have an open hour or duplicated hours, during that hour, please come down to E house to resolve the issue. Mr. Buchinger gives more details on changes below.
The E House Office break down is: Office Assistant: Mrs. Ayers, Counselors: Mrs. Studley last names = A-E, Ms. Riedlinger = F-L, Mrs. Linton = M-R, and Mrs. Miller = S-Z
You can make an appointment to see us at any time after the first week using this link: Counselor Appointment Form
We hope your first week is awesome! WE are confident you will have a great year. Let us know how we can help!

Senior Parking Spot Fundraiser Update
The first layer of pavement is down in the student parking lot and Goodrich anticipates the final layer being applied this week. The line painting could be completed as soon as the weekend-- again, this is all pending weather.
Students will be notified via email and social media that the parking lot is ready to paint. You MAYNOT paint or prep any earlier because I have to number the spots and make sure that parking lot is ready.
Students must have paid by the deadline, Friday August 22nd to participate.
I am not sure how students will enter the building to get to Mrs. Manning until after Monday's Professional Development Day. I will send an email to all participating students on Monday night.
Mrs. Manning is located in G116 until the Main Office is ready.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the construction.
Can you volunteer at the event? Please register here -- we can't do it without your help:)))

OK2SAY is the student safety program which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.
Student Climate Team will be trained to conduct peer mediation for students who are in conflict with one another. The goal of having peer mediation at AHS is to help create a more positive culture in our school where both sides win and one party doesn't feel as if they are being treated unfairly. Please see Mr. Robarge in the Restorative Center (School Success) if you need help resolving an issue. Peer mediators don't take sides or place blame on anyone!
