Ms. Dietz is a team player that steps in to sub for other classes whenever needed. During department work, she is continually working in teams and offering assistance. She is a fabulous thought partner and one that sees the big picture and is willing to think outside the box. Watching her work in the classroom is a joy in that she truly sets high standards and works hard to bring all levels of students up to that standard. She listens and is there for kids. Thank you for being such a great teacher for the students at AHS!
Semester 2 Updates
Make sure to follow your SEMESTER 2 SCHEDULE on Synergy.
If you have an open hour, report to the Counseling Center that hour.
If you have an error in the schedule, report to the Counseling Center that hour.
All other schedule changes, students must use the Class Change Form located on the AHS Web Page under the Counseling Corner. Remember, staff has repeatedly announced schedule help for weeks, allowing all students ample opportunity to address concerns.
Course change requests will not be accepted after this Wednesday (1/24)
Testing Corner: SAT/PSAT Calculator
Students taking the digital SAT/PSAT will have access to the desmos calculator within the Bluebook App. Students should practice using this calculator before test day. Practice Here
Or students can bring their own calculator from this approved list.

Welcome to our New Math Hire ~ you might recognize her!
Ms. Davina Teal
She joins us in a new Math Position starting the second semester. She was a student teacher last year and we welcome her to the AHS Family. She will be teaching Pre-Algebra, Academic Support, and splitting time with the ACES/Pivot Program.
Up North Prevention
~ a class act
Mr. Spencer is our Up North Prevention Specialist and leads the AHS SLS (Students Leading Students)
During final exams this week, Mr. Spencer was in the Large Commons during break times handing out snacks and water to students. It was an awesome to see and just something he did on his own. He is the reason that Up North Prevention is a CLASS ACT
