EMPOWERING 21ST CENTURY GRADUATES
Dear Students and Families,
Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful, restful, and rejuvenating Spring Break. Especially after navigating the unpredictable weather and our unexpected ice storm closures this semester, I sincerely hope this time off provided some much-needed relaxation for your entire family. Happy Spring!
Now that we are rested and recharged, it is time to channel that renewed energy into the home stretch of our school year. As we step back into our routines, we are entering our testing season. While testing can sometimes feel daunting, I know our students are ready to step up, show off everything they have learned, and tackle these assessments with confidence.
Tackle Testing with Confidence: Let's make sure our students are getting plenty of sleep and starting their testing days with a healthy breakfast. We are here to support them every step of the way!
End on the Right Foot: Let’s bring a positive attitude, strong attendance, and our best effort to the classroom every single day.
Let's make these final months of the school year our best ones yet. I am so excited to see everyone back in the building and look forward to finishing the year incredibly strong together as a team!

What You and Your Student Need to Know
Counseling
Scheduling: If you have not turned in a 2026-2027 Class scheduling form and input your requests into Synergy for next year, do so ASAP. Review the AHS Website here for information on how to. Without your requests, counselors will create a schedule for you using your transcripts. Turn in your forms in E house Office!
Students: if you signed up for dual enrollment and plan to take an ACC class in semester one of 2026, please remember to schedule an appointment with your counselor. Click this link to schedule your appointment: Student Counseling Appointment Form
Seniors: Just a reminder that there are still many scholarships that have due dates coming up. Reference the Scholarship Master Listing and also the Scholarship Slideshow. If you have been granted any scholarships already, please let Mrs Ayers and Ms Riedlinger know so we can be sure to include you in Senior Awards Night. Thank you and good luck!

OK2SAY is the student safety program which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.
Student Climate Team will be trained to conduct peer mediation for students who are in conflict with one another. The goal of having peer mediation at AHS is to help create a more positive culture in our school where both sides win and one party doesn't feel as if they are being treated unfairly. Please see Mr. Robarge in Restorative Center (School Success) if you need help resolving an issue. Peer mediators don't take sides or place blame on anyone!
