Resolution 16-11
ACCEPTING THE CANVASS OF ELECTION VOTES FROM THE NOVEMBER 8, 2016 GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CITY OF SODAVILLE COUNCIL POSITIONS
(MAYOR AND 2 COUNCIL POSITIONS)
WHEREAS, at a General Election held in the State of Oregon, County of Linn, in they City of Sodaville on November 8, 2016, the candidates for office of Mayor, and 2 City Council Positions were submitted to the voters, and
WHEREAS, the City of Sodaville has received the certified abstract of election results from the Linn County Clerk. The results are as follows:
MAYOR VOTES:
Suzie Hibbert 100
Write In 15
COUNCIL POSITION VOTES:
Brian Lewis 93
Write In 20
COUNCIL POSITION VOTES:
Jeff Hensley Write In 3
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the attached Canvass of Election Votes for the City of Sodaville for Mayor, and 2 City Council Positions attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and by this reference incorporated herein, be accepted as the final official results.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to the City of Sodaville Charter, the oath of office will be administered to the newly elected City Council members and the Mayor at the first regular meeting of the City Council in January, 2017.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon the date of its passage.
