AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 28 REGULATING THE VACATION OF STREETS AND ALLEYS, ENACTED NOVEMBER 8, 1976, TO PROVIDE FOR VACATION FOR PURPOSES OF REDEDICATION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
To amend Ordinance #28 Section 1:
THE CITY OF SODAVILLE ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
ORDINANCE 28 Section 1 is amended to read as follows:
Section 1. No further streets or alleys shall be vacated, except that, pursuant to ORS 271.160, the Council may vacate streets and alleys for purposes of rededication in the event that the Council finds that the relocation of a street or alley right of way would be in the public interest.
Section 2. Inasmuch as the provisions of this ordinance are necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, safety, good order, and public welfare of the citizens and inhabitants of the City of Sodaville, Oregon, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council and its approval by the Mayor of the City of Sodaville, Oregon.
