RESOLUTION 85-5
IN THE MATTER OF FORMATION )
OF A PORT DISTRICT )
BEFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SODAVILLE,
WHEREAS, A Proposal has been made for formation of the Willamette Economic Development Authority within the area of Linn and Benton Counties; and
WHEREAS, ORS 198.720(1) specifies that any City whose territory is Proposed for inclusion in a Special district such as the Willamette Economic Development Authority must approve the formation petition in order to be included within the district's boundaries; and
WHEREAS, The City of Sodaville has been proposed for inclusion within the boundary of the Willamette Economic Development Authority; and
WHEREAS, The Council has considered the issue of formation of the Willamette Economic Development Authority;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Sodaville approves the petition for formation of the Willamette Economic Development Authority to include the territory within the corporate limits of the City of Sodaville.
