April 2023

City Recorder’s Message

Happy Spring, Sodaville!

As we celebrate National Volunteer Month, I have been called to fulfill the civic responsibility of jury duty. As a result, City Hall will be closed on Wednesdays in addition to Mondays until the end of May. Current hours of 8AM-4PM will remain in effect on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We will discuss how to best address this at the next City Council meeting. In the mean time, citizens who need to get in touch with me about City business on a day city hall is closed can reach me at my personal cell, 541-805-2630.

President Joe Biden has proclaimed several month-long celebrations for April in addition to Volunteer Month – Child Abuse Prevention Month, Second Chance Month, Cancer Control Month, Donate Life Month, Month of the Military Child, Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, Care Workers Recognition Month, and Arab American Heritage Month.

Happy Spring,

Alex McHaddad, City Recorder
