ORDINANCE No. 36

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING #2 SECTIONS 5 AND 6 PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF STREET COMMISSIONER AND SETTING FORTH THE QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES OF THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR.

The City of SODAVILLE ordains as follows:

To amend Ordinance No. 2, Sections 5 and 6 are amended to read as follows:

Section 5. Duties of Public Works Supervisor

a. Train schedule and supervise part time employees.

b. Maintain safe work sites and prevent exposure of employees to unsafe or unhealthy working conditions.

c. Maintain drainage ditches, park grounds, streets, street right-of-ways, spring and Spring Hall.

Section 6. Qualifications

a. Demonstrates initiative and takes responsibility.

b. Demonstrates basic skills in carpentry, painting, concrete work and landscape maintenance.

c. Provide an insured work vehicle (truck or van).

d. Provide tools.

e. Possesses knowledge of basic first aid procedure.

f. Be over 18 years of age.

An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
