19-10 Water Restriction Permit
RESOLUTION NO. 19-10
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING WATER RESTRICTION PERMIT
WHEREAS, there have been a number of instances in recent years that the City of Sodaville has had to enforce a Water Restriction allowing only household use of water;
WHEREAS, the City of Sodaville has taken steps to assure that there is enough water available for household use; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sodaville Water Restriction states:
No outside water use includes:
No watering of lawns.
No sprinklers or underground drip systems.
No filling of swimming pools.
No washing of cars, decks, buildings, sidewalks etc.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sodaville has implemented a Water Restriction Permit; and
WHEREAS, this permitting process includes approval of requests of uses not normally allowed during Water Restriction; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sodaville has a number of circumstances where the use of water is necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:
The use of water during Water Restriction periods will be determined on a case by case basis.
The cost of submitting a Water Restriction Permit will be the same as a Driveway Permit listed in the City of Sodaville Fee Schedule.
The City of Sodaville City Administrator in cooperation with the City of Sodaville Public Works Director will determine if the Water Restriction Permit is allowed or denied.
A denied Water Restriction Permit can be appealed to the City of Sodaville City Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
