8-04 Evaluation Process
RESOLUTION NO. 08-04
A RESOLUTION ALLOWING THE SODAVILLE CITY COUNCIL TO ADOPT AND SET FORTH THE EVALUATION PROCESS TO ORDINANCE 08-02, CITY OF SODAVILLE COUNCIL RULES AND PROCEDURES FOR THE GOVERNANCE OF IT MEMBERS AND PROCEEDINGS.
The City of Sodaville Resolves as Follows:
Section 1. Title.
This Resolution shall be known and may be cited in conjunction with the adopted City of Sodaville Rules and Procedures Ordinance 08-02, pertaining to City Council meetings for the City of Sodaville.
Section 2. Purpose.
The purpose of this Resolution is to adopt and set forth the evaluation process for the adopted City of Sodaville Rules and Procedures Ordinance 08-02, which is used to govern meetings and proceedings as stated in the 1996 Charter for the City of Sodaville, Chapter IV, Section 12.
Section 3. Rules and Procedures Set by Ordinance.
The rules and procedure set by the City Council have been adopted by Ordinance of the City Council.
Section 4. Process for Setting Rules and Procedures.
A. The council shall, on at least a bi-annual basis, evaluate the current Rules and Procedures established by the City.
B. Although the evaluation process is required to occur on a bi-annual basis, the City Council may consider revising the Rules and Procedures on an annual basis or when the City Council determines there is a significant need to amend the Rules and Procedures.
C. In accordance with Ordinance 08-02, City of Sodaville Rules and Procedures Section 12.1 all amendments, deletions or additions shall be done by Resolution and approved by the City Council.
Section 5. Emergency Clause.
The City Council hereby determines that existing conditions are such that this Resolution is immediately necessary for the protection of the present health, safety and good of the City of Sodaville and the property owners and citizens thereof and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately after its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
