日本神話では、七福神は幸運をもたらす神様と信じられています。平成6年(1994)に堀切の繁栄を願い、この七福神が祀られました。高さは3mあります。"菖蒲"の名前は、近くに江戸名所として有名な「堀切菖蒲園」があることによります。

In Japanese mythology, the Seven Gods of Fortune (Shichifukujin in Japanese) are believed to grant good luck. Heissei 6 (1994), in the hope of the prosperity of Horikiri, this Seven Gods of Fortune were enshrined. It height is 3m. The name of "Shobu (Iris)" comes from the "Horikiri Shobu-en (Iris Garden)" near here.
