六字名号塔とは、南無阿弥陀仏の六字を陰刻した名号塔です。佐藤次良衛門は同じ年に2人の子どもを亡くしました。彼はその供養の為に全国を行脚し、帰村後の享保16年(1731)年11月に、近隣の人々と一緒にこの供養塔を建てました。

Rokuji Myogo monument is a stone monument engraved "Namu Amida Butsu" which means believer of Buddha. Sato Jiroemon lost two children in the same year. He traveled all over the country for the memorial service. After returning to the home village, he built this memorial tower with his neighbors in November Kyoho 16 (1731).
