かつしかハープ橋は、首都高速中央環状線四つ木出入口と平井大橋出入口の間に位置し、綾瀬川から荒川と中川の背割堤を渡る橋で、1987年9月9日に開通しました。世界初の曲線斜張橋であり、さらにその曲線はS字を描き、路面には勾配もあるため、複雑な立体構造をしています。その曲線と48本のワイヤーが織り成す姿は美しく、楽器のハープに見立てて公募により「かつしかハープ橋」の名がつけられました。

Katsushika Harp Bridge is located between Yotsugi and Hirai Ohashi of Metropolitan Expressway Central Ring Line, which over from Ayasegawa, Arakawa and Nakagawa. It opened on September 9, 1987. It is the world's first curvilinear cable-stayed bridge. Its curve draws an S shape and also as a gradient, that is a complex three-dimensional structure. The curve and forty eight wires create beautiful figure. It was given the name "Katsushika Harp Bridge" as a harp of the instrument by public offering.
