【葛飾区登録有形文化財 | Katsushika City-registered tangible cultural properties】

現在の東京拘置所一帯は、江戸時代前期に幕府直轄地を支配する関東郡代・伊奈忠治の下屋敷が置かれ、将軍鷹狩や鹿狩りの際の休憩地である御膳所となりました。その後、元文元年(1736)、伊那氏屋敷内に小菅御殿(千住御殿)が建てられました。旧小菅御殿石燈籠は、全高210cmの御影石製です。もとは刻銘があったと思われますが、削られていて由緒は明確ではありません。昭和59年(1984年)に現在の場所に移されました。

This stone lantern is made of granite with an overall height of 210 cm, hollow square shaped fire bags and sun-moon shapes are cut above the cylinder, a quadrangular hat is placed and a jewel is received. Originally it seems has inscriptions, it has been cut down and its ancient history is not clear now. It was moved to this place in Showa 59 (1984).
