この建物は、大正14年(1925)に建てられた、水元尋常高等小学校の増築校舎の一部です。昭和57年(1988年)3月まで、水元小学校の2年生の教室とし使われていました。大正期の木造校舎は都内でも数少なく、建築史上からも貴重なものです。(※ 以前は内部見学が出来ましたが、老朽化のため、現在は中に入ることは出来ません。)

This building is part of the school building of Mizumoto Koko Higher Elementary School which was built in Taisho 14 (1925). Until Showa 57 (1988), it was used as a classroom for the second graders of Mizumoto Elementary School. The wooden school building of the Taisho era is very few in Tokyo therefore it is valuable toon in terms of the architectural history. (NOTE: Previously we had an internal tour, but due to aging, we can not go inside now.)
