ブルーベリーの栽培は、葛飾区の産学公連携事業の一環として始まりました。平成18年に苗木の定植し、一定の収穫量が見込めるようになった平成21年からは、一般向けに観光農園として開園しました。都市部でありながら、ブルーベリー狩りが出来ること、またブルーベリーは高い栄養価を持つ果物であることもあり、収穫期には多くの人が訪れます。現在、葛飾区には2つのブルーベリー観光農園があります。

Blueberry cultivation has began as one of the Katsushika City industry-academia-government collaboration project. Planting stardted in 2006, the farm opened for public from 2009 as a tourist farm aftaer a certain amount of harvest can be expected. Because it can pick blueberries even in the urban area, and blueberries is nutritious fruits, many people visit during the harvest season. Currently, there are two blueberry tourist farms in Katsushika.
