葛西城は、現在の東京都葛飾区青戸にあった城です。鎌倉時代に葛西氏が城館として築いたという伝承もありますが、詳細は不明です。江戸時代に入り、徳川家康が城跡に「青戸御殿(葛西御殿とも)」を建て、3代将軍家光の頃まで鷹狩の宿舎として利用されていましたが、明暦3年(1657年)頃に、明暦の大火で焼失した江戸城再建の資材の為に破却されました。現在、城があった場所には環七通りが通り、城跡は道路下に埋め戻され、地上は「御殿山公園」「葛西城址公園」となってます。

Kasai Castle is located in Aoto, Katsushika-ku, Tokyo. There is alegend that Mr. Kasai built it during the Kamakura period, but the details are unknown. In the Edo period, Shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa built "Aoto Goten (also known as Kasai Goten)" on the ruins of the castle, and it was used as a falconry dormitory until the time of the third Shogun Iemitsu. However, around Meireki 3 (1657), it was destroyed due to the materials used to rebuild Edo Castle, which was burned down by the great fire of the Meireki. Currently, Kannana-dori Avenue runs where the castle was located, and the ruins of the castle are backfilled under the road, and "Gotenyama Park" and "Kasai Castle Ruins Park" are made on the ground.
