Koiwa-yosui, Higashiibori, Nakaibori, and Nishiibori were all irrigation canals constructed in the Edo era with the water source of "Koaitamei" reservoir in Mizumoto, Katsushika. It havd been used as transportation routes for agricultural water and supplies. Higashi-yosui is another name for Higashiibori. Most of Higashiibori, which had finished its role as an irrigation canal, had become a road. From Takasago 2-19 to Hosoda 1-22, there are footway, greenery, flowers, and a little water stream, which name is "Higashi-yosui Seeseragi dori".
