この銅像が建てられた年代や経緯、大木氏に関する説明などが全くありません。調査した人によると、戦前までは田んだったこの地域の一画を大木氏は買い占め「大木温泉」を建てた実業家だったようです。この銅像は、大木氏自らが生存中に建てたそうです。

There is no explanation about the date and history of this statue being built, or who Mr. Ohki was. According to the person who investigated, Mr. Ohki was a business person who bought up a part of this area that was rice fields before the World War II and built called "Ohki Onsen" (Ohki hot spring ). It seems that this statue was built by Mr. Ohki himself while he was alive.
