水元公園は東京都23区内最大の公園で、都内唯一の水郷公園です。この公園内に、大小合わせて14の菖蒲田に約100種、14,000株の花菖蒲が咲く花菖蒲園があります。花菖蒲の見頃は5月末～6月中旬です。この園は、水元公園同様、東京都が維持・管理しています。

Mizumoto Park, the largest park within 23 wards of Tokyo, is the only riverside district park in Tokyo. In this park, there is a iris flower garden where about 100 kinds, 14,000 roots of iris flowers in 14 large and small iris fields . The best season to see the iris flowers is from the end of May to the middle of June. Same as the Mizumoto Park, this garden is maintained and managed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
