明治22年(1889)6月から昭和7年9月(1932)まで、この場所に旧水元村の役場がありました。記念碑には、創立年・廃止年、および歴代村長の名前が刻まれています。

From June Meiji 22 (1889) to September Showa 7 (1932), there was a former Mizumoto village office in this place. The monument is engraved with founding year , abolition year , and the names of successive village mayors.
