He has also made several incursions into the world of cinema and theater by writing several scripts for both media. His work is present in a number of anthologies, and on the occasion of being awarded the Schiller Prize 2007, the literary journal Quaderni grigionitaliani featured him in his main article the following year. As a translator, he has published, among others, Stupore celeste / Ciel étonné, a poetic anthology of Charles Racine, in 2001, and later on the collection Scarto by Jacques Dupin in 2011. In parallel, he collaborates periodically with the International journal of poetry in translation Traduzionetradizione.

He has authored some twenty titles so far, among the last poetry collections, Preludio e corrente per Antoni (2012), Caro aberrante fiore (2013), Mobilune (2015), Liturgia minore (2015) and L'occhio piegato (2015).

Gilberto Isella is an author from Lugano, Switzerland. Poet, essayist and translator, he is vicepresident of the Italian-Swiss Pen Club and member of the editorial board of the literary journal Bloc notes, which he himself promoted back in 1979. Since then, he collaborates as a literary critic in several newspapers and magazines, interesting himself in the authors of the past (from Dante to Ariosto) as well as those of the present (Piero Bigongiari, Guido Ceronetti, Jacques Dupin, etc.).
