Lidia AMEJKO is an author from Wroclaw, Poland. Prose-writer and author of radio plays, she’s among Poland’s most highly esteemed contemporary playwrights. Her most successful play is Farrago i Przemiana [Fargo and the Transformation], which has been translated into many languages and performed in numerous theaters in Poland and abroad (mainly in England, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Croatia).

Her prose debut was with the novel Głośne historie [Stories out Loud] (2003),followed by Żywoty świętych osiedlowych .[The Lives of the Project-Housing Saints] (2007), which has been translated into French and German.

Included by Pr. Kłossowicz in Antologia dramatu polskiego 1945-2005, she has been twice nominated for the prestigious Nike Literary Award.
