Anatoly Kudryavitsky is a Moscow-born poet, novelist and literary translator, the grandson of an Irishman who ended up in Stalin’s Gulag. He is a member of the Russian Writers' Union and Irish and International PEN.

He began writing poetry in Russian, Ветер зеленых звезд (The Wind from the Green Stars. New and Selected Poems. 2015) being his latest collection.

After moving to Ireland in 2002, Kudryavitsky has written poetry, including haiku, predominantly in English, but continues to write fiction in Russian. His collections in English include Shadow of Time (2005), mentioned among the best Irish books of the year (Poetry Ireland Review Newsletter, January/February 2006), followed by three collections of haiku, the latest being Horizon (2016) and The Flying Dutchman (2018).

He has also edited and translated into English several anthologies of contemporary German, Ukrainian and Russian poetry and edited two anthologies of Irish haiku.
