Here's What We Know About 'Miraculous Ladybug' Season 4

It has been quite a while since the last episode of Miraculous Ladybug was aired, but don’t worry, because season 4 is on its way! It is expected to premiere in the summer of 2021 on Disney+ and Disney Channel. If that isn’t enough for you, there are several episodes that have already been aired as well as Miraculous World Shanghai: The Legend of Lady Dragon.
What is Miraculous?
Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is a French CGI action/adventure series featuring two Parisian teenagers, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, who transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir to protect the city from supervillains which are created by the villain Hawk Moth.
Where We Left Off:
We last left off with the episode “Miracle Queen” where Chloe’s, or Miracle Queen’s, bees brainwashed all of Paris and summoned all of the temporary Miraculous holders to her location except Alix, revealing their identities to Hawk Moth. Ladybug regrouped with Cat Noir and used the Dragon Miraculous to unify into “Dragon Bug”. They steal the Snake Miraculous from Viperion. Cat Noir uses it to unify into “Snake Noir”. Together, they defeat Miracle Queen and capture her akuma. When Ladybug is unable to figure out a plan to rescue Jade Turtle, he formally transfers the title of Guardian of the Miraculous Box to Ladybug and sacrifices his memories. Ladybug reclaims the stolen Miraculous and permanently expels Chloe from the team. Afterwards, Master Fu reunites with Marianne and departs from Paris and Gabriel fixes the Peacock Miraculous.
Confirmed
As expected, a new character has been added to take the place of the Bee Miraculous holder, that person being Zoe, or her superhero identity, Vesperia. The names of other miraculous holders have been confirmed as well. The Tiger Miraculous holder, Juleka, transforms in Tigresse Pourpre, the new Bee Miraculous holder, Zoe, transforms in Vesperia, the Pig Miraculous holder, Rose, transforms in Pigella, the Dog Miraculous holder, who has been theorized to be Sabrina, transforms in Traquemoiselle, the Rooster Miraculous holder transforms in Coq Courage, the Goat Miraculous holder transforms in Caprikid and the Ox Miraculous holder transforms in Minotaurox. Mylene will be the holder of the Mouse Miraculous, as shown in the season 4 opening. (The names of the superhero identities are French names, so English names may differ)
It has been confirmed by Lindalee Rose that season 4 will feature new outfits, new power-ups, new multi-Miraculous-combo powers, new akumatized villains, and new secret siblings and who will win and who will lose in the Adrienette vs Lukanette ship.
Luka, Kagami, Chloe, Juleka, Rose, Mylene, and Alix will be akumatized again.
Episodes
Season 4 will have 26 episodes and will be released to Disney+. Episode titles that have been revealed are “Truth”, “Lies”, “Gang of Secrets”, “Furious Fu”, “Queen Banana”, and “Gabriel Agreste”. Episodes "Truth", "Lies" and "Furious Fu" have been released to the public as well as the Miraculous World Shanghai Special.
Expectations
It is expected that the love square between Marinette, Adrien and their superhero identities will be flipped, along with an Adrienette vs. Lukanette battle. The animation studio DQ will most likely be animating most of the episode in season 4.
SAMG
SAMG, which was Miraculous Ladybug’s best animation studio, will not be animating seasons 4 or 5 anymore. We will now be seeing mostly DQ animation instead.
“It's more about business, production scheduling, and capacity. Still, it's hard for the show, yes. But we are working hard to keep the quality, and better rising for the show.” Said Winny in Serena's interview.
