Domers is said to take down the "No Cell phone" policy

On January 14th, 2020 in Carver HSES, Principle Ted Domers is said to repeal the “No Cell Phones/ other electronics” rule. I spoke to him about his reasons for doing so. “Every day I walk down the halls and it’s every day that I see kids with their phones out and their AirPods in. This rule has been in place for many years, and I have yet to see anyone follow them. I’m done.” Everyone has heard the news on our last day before the Winter Break and phones were out everywhere. First thing in the morning students were seen surrounding our school Dean; Mr. Rivera, with taking pictures of his christmas sweater that said “Booty Os” across the front. All in the matter of a few hours, Rivera has been made an official meme, and no one can do anything about it.

Some sympathies have been given to Rivera by students like Tobi Ashiru, “ I kind of feel bad for that little man, he had one job and now it’s being taken away.” Now that cell phones have been permitted in classrooms, grades are going up in all categories and teachers are wondering why they hadn’t made this decision earlier. Miss Aglira says “ for so long I have been turning down technology and calling it stupid, but now i’m in love with it. I wish we had this stuff when I was younger!” WHile so many minds have been changed, students are taking their rebellions to another level. They are now working to get the uniform policy removed by the end of the year; class of 2020 working the hardest, being that this is their last year hear. The year of 2020 is looking at the next rebel generation, and it better be ready
