5 Ways to Become the Best High Schooler

By: Abigail Campbell

The high school experience can be both exciting and stressful. Unfortunately, studies say that 1 in 5 high school students drop out before senior year. High school students face immense pressure from balancing grades, maintaining a healthy social life, all while abiding by their parents ́ standards. In addition to all of that, they have to appeal to colleges. The teenage life is difficult, but here are some hacks for excelling in high school.

#1: Never write anything down.

Whether it's taking notes or homework assignments, never write it down. If you write it down you will be wasting paper and paper comes from trees and trees provide us oxygen. Therefore, note taking will reduce our oxygen so how exactly do you expect to live to graduate.

#2: Always procrastinate.

Waiting last minute to complete any assignment could be an important skill for the future. It could teach you how to produce good work under pressure and with minimal time.

#3:If you are tired, fall asleep in class.

How can you focus in any of your other classes if you can't stay awake.

#4: Never study for exams/tests.

Studying takes away from your time of completing other homework assignments. Also, tests do not define your intelligence; they are merely a torture mechanism created by teachers with no souls.

#5: Only go to school when you feel like it.

Skipping school is okay. School is a privilege, but also a choice. So, if you’re not in the mood, then don't go. Go to Popeyes and get that new chicken sandwich, or go to the nail salon and get a mani-pedi. Just take care of yourself. A former student, Marissa Sands, followed our advice and obtained her GED and is working at McDonalds. She says, “I’m living the dream life. Follow these tips and get that bag sis.”
