For as long as people can remember, fashion has helped people express who they are, and possibly helped others do the same. From people rocking leather, studs, and combat boots from the 70's Rockstar era. To Denim, big colorful sweaters, and buckethats worn by teens, made popular in sitcoms during the 80's. Even Tie-Dye, Faux Fur, and Overalls that everyone wore after seeing popular musicians in the 90's wear something similar. It’s an art-form, art builds and oftentimes creates messages and stories that can be expressed through just a glance.

From good quality, sweatsuits with a range of colors, a multitude of different shirts and designs, to a variety of different truck hats and beanies. Clothing Brand “Lifestyle” (Stylized as “Lif3style)’s creator Rayquan Williams says that his brand is not only his art-form, but also represents his mentality on life.

“My brand defines me because it shows what I'm living for and what my goals are in life," says Williams. "It spreads positivity to everyone who wears it. Being in the community that we in, it gives off a positive and grinding mentality”

“3ways (3 ways) to a great lif3style (lifestyle) which is the 3 P's (Purpose, Perseverance, Prosper)” Williams had explained. “When pushing my brand we push the meaning because having something that people can relate to makes them want to wear it.”

Platform loving, straight out of a magazine-esque fashion teen Georgia Melvin has also tied in the connection of having others relate to their style and how it has brought others around them together.

“I feel like a lot of people like my style and I get told a lot that it's sort of out a magazine and things that always want to be tried.” Melvin shared “For me I feel more joy because we’re talking about a shared interest that we all very deeply have a passion for and enjoy being a part of and just adding our own touches to it”

Melvin then goes on to tell how and where their style and art form is inspired or pulled from, what ways do they make themselves stand out and how does it make them feel.

“I think my style is definitely a mix of many things and isn’t just one thing. It’s very versatile and bounces around a lot and that’s what’s able to make it stand out and different.” Melvin proceeds to mention “A lot of my personal inspo comes from Pinterest and musicians that I love to listen to.” I would say that my style is in-between Tyler the creator and Beabadoobe.” Melvin then closes with, “It helps empowers me and gives me strength to go about my day

Another stylish Teen, May Crews had also stated how she felt and her process when it comes to putting together an outfit and how it makes her feel.

“I like looking nice and I also like putting out outfits together. It’s like a creative outlet for me, cause I can’t draw that well, but putting clothes together and stuff is really fun for me and it’s something I am mediocre at doing.” Crews then adds, ”It’s just something I like doing because it’s fun” “It makes me happy”

Crews then brought around the discussion of how fashion had helped, as a gateway of meeting others, around her and how it helped make connections, compared to a simple, hello.

“If you just say hello, then you know like absolutely nothing about the person.” “But through fashion, you can at least already know their style, it takes away 3 questions you have to ask” “Compared to just saying hello to someone.” Crews, then implies, “You'll probably have that in common and it has a lot of implicit styles of fashion that you could assume things about them that you might also have in common”

Following up on Crew’s last statement, and the answers from everyone previous, Not only does fashion help them express the things they want or put out a message. They all share a common topic of others, and how their fashion helps them, so in return, everyone has given some sort of advice or suggestion when it comes to putting together your own outfit!

“I would recommend always keeping a few staple pieces of your wardrobe.” Melvin suggests. “I personally love any type of cute sweater or designer platforms” Crews then adds, “Lot’s of belts, belts are so fun and they’re very easily “switchable” You can layer them if you feel like it, it just adds to an outfit”. Williams then proceeds to say, “Take your time, make it to the best,” “We got some new sweatsuits, check us out on instagram @3wayapparel.
