Transportation Secretary (10-month position)

Primary Function:  To assist in the operation of the transportation office in such a way as to ensure the office’s best possible impact on the public and its smooth operation for the benefit of its educational impact.

Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age

• Possess a GED, high school diploma, or higher

• Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proficient in computer use

• Able to multi-task

• Able to maintain a positive demeanor on the telephone and in the front office

• Detail oriented 

Reports to: Director of Operations

Performance Responsibilities:

• Answer telephone in a friendly, courteous manner and route incoming calls as needed

• Greet visitors in a friendly courteous manner

• Assist in relieving supervisor of administrative details, by performing a variety of office and clerical 

  duties, regularly and independently.

• Understands the confidentially and purpose of the department thoroughly.

• Carry out office responsibilities as assigned by the school principal or his/her designee

• Other duties as assigned

Terms of Employment:

Salary and conditions to be established by the School Board.

Evaluation:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board’s policy and administrative regulations of classified personnel.
