TITLE: Student Services Administrator
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To identify and work with students and families exhibiting risk factors for poor academic / social adjustment specifically patterns of truancy. To serve as the Title IX Coordinator and Appeals Officer for the division.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Hold a Master’s degree and Postgraduate Professional License
with and endorsement in PreK-12 administration.
2. Have demonstrated personal qualities which indicate the ability to deal with diverse student populations, as well as a variety of community agencies.
3. Have successful, full-time experience as a supervisor or administrator.
4. Experience working with special education preferred.
5. Experience conducting investigations preferred.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Works collaboratively with the Directors of Human Resources, Curriculum and Instruction, and Department of Pupil Personnel Services.
2. In conjunction with school social workers, works with the Juvenile and Domestic Court as a liaison to the school to ensure compliance
with mandates imposed by the court, including school attendance, appropriate school behavior, passing grades in classes, and participation
in school-based intervention services.
3. To work with counselors to monitor student truancy, including making parental contacts and home visits as needed.
4. To work with the Truancy Response Team to devise interventions for students with patterns of truancy and act as a case manager
to see that the interventions are carried out and the desired outcomes achieved.
5. To prepare reports on student attendance as requested by the superintendent.
6. To assume any other duties as assigned by the superintendent.

10. Foster Care Liaison (Division)
11. Learnfare Coordinator – Monthly State report regarding truancy for the division (Division)
12. Day School Applications – Certification Required
13. Coordinator of day school students with transportation
14. Process and investigate all division discipline appeals requested by students / parents.
TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month year. Salary and conditions to be established by the School Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board’s policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of classified
personnel.
