Regional Adult Education Secretary / Assistant (Part-time position)

 

Qualifications:

·         At least 21 years of age

·         Possess a GED, high school diploma, or higher

·         Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills

·         Proficient in computer use

·         Able to multi-task

·         Able to maintain a positive demeanor on the telephone and in the office

·         Detail oriented

Reports to:  Supervisor of Adult Education

Performance Responsibilities:

·         Answer phone calls concerning all aspects of adult education

·         Refer students to local programs for assessments

·         Prepare and mail correspondence

·         Process payments for supplies, invoices

·         Monthly/quarterly reports

·         File, update & maintain teacher information as needed (adult ed certifications & trainings)

·         File, update & maintain regional information as needed (daily)

·         Assist regional students with registering for Official GED Test as needed.

·         Maintain regional accounting and reimbursement records

·         Purchase requisitions/purchase orders

·         Invoice agencies for student fees

·         Ensure that invoices get forwarded to correct department for payment

·         Order yearly bid items

·         Maintain and order supplies as needed

·         Set up for meetings and in-services

·         Process monthly payroll

·         Maintain yearly data on adult student credentials of West Piedmont Region Adult Ed

·         Participate as program representative for job/career/resource fairs as needed

·         Liaison to partner & participating agencies

·         Maintain regional grant information (log books, invoices and supporting documents)

·         Maintain & update regional and state contact information

·         Maintain time and effort for all employees

·         And other duties as assigned
