TITLE:
HVAC TECHNICIAN
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To maintain the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration units in the school plants and in all other school board
buildings and to assist in other projects as directed due to emergency and priority needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have minimum four (4) years experience in HVAC plus CFC certification.
REPORTS TO:
Supervisor of Maintenance
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To take responsibility for all phases of HVAC and refrigeration repair and installation.
To assist the supervisor in expediting materials for repair projects and warehouse stock, according to priorities.
To assist the supervisor in developing and maintaining the most efficient system for dealing with emergency repair problems.
To cooperate with principals, teachers and custodians in any way feasible to keep from disrupting the instructional program.
To develop and maintain good work habits with punctuality, effective use of time, safety, thoroughness and teamwork.
To clean up the work area and always leave it a safe environment for those who use it; remain alert to any hazards that might
jeopardize the safety of others during repair projects.
To be responsible for the record keeping as required by the D.E.Q. and E.P.A. concerning C.F.C. Management and any
other relevant regulations.
To attend appropriate meetings and conferences and strive to keep technical skills up to date.
To perform work and duties outside his/her area of expertise when directed to do so due to emergencies and higher priorities.

EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy and administrative regulations on evaluation
of classified personnel.
