Bus Lot Attendant

TITLE:                                   BUS LOT ATTENDANT

PRIMARY FUNCTION:         To assist in keeping all school board owned vehicles in efficient

operating condition and to provide assistance within the bus garage.

QUALIFICATIONS:                1.  Must have a high school diploma or GED.

                                                2.  Must have a good driving record and a Virginia driver’s permit

                                                     with a CDL and a S classification, or will meet this requirement                                            upon employment.

                                                3.  Has demonstrated a previous dependable work and

                                                    attendance record.

REPORTS TO:                       Shop Foreman

PERFORMANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:             1.  Fuels all vehicles on bus lot as needed.

                                                2.  Keeps all work areas clean and maintained.

3.  Handles specific responsibilities assigned by the shop  

     foreman.

4.  Assists the school bus drivers in any way feasible.

5.  Develops good work habits:  be at work on time, return tools

     after using, keep accurate records, etc.

                                                6.  Assists in some maintenance jobs when assigned.

TERMS OF

EMPLOYMENT:                     Salary and conditions to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION:                       Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance

with the Board’s policy and administrative regulations on the evaluation of classified personnel.
